Suzi O’Neill – you me & Suzi jazz trio
Suzi is the lead singer in a jazz trio and she needed posters designed that she could use for the Cork Jazz festival.
Her trademark look is classic with a large dollop of sass, and her gorgeous blonde curls form a big part of her onstage presence. Suzi wanted an illustrated poster focusing on her hair and style but keeping her identity hidden.
Inspired by classic Blue Note jazz posters and Saul Bass title sequences we came up with a character based on these features but lacking in facial detail. We also used line drawings of a sax and guitar to represent the other musicians in the trio.
